Frequently asked

Does Loafe use AI or sample packs?

No. Every sound is synthesized in real time by Loafe's own engine. There is no AI text-to-music and no sampled audio — it's all generated, and it's all yours.

Where do my exported files go?

The quickest way to keep an export (WAV, stems, or MIDI) is to tap Share right after exporting — save it to the Files app, AirDrop it, email it, or open it in another app. That works everywhere.

Your exports are also saved to a Loafe Exports folder you can browse to:

Stems and MIDI are saved together in a per-track subfolder, ready to drag into Logic, Ableton, or any DAW.

Can I use my tracks commercially?

Yes. Exporting is a Loafe Pro feature (Loafe+ or Lifetime), and audio you export is royalty-free and fully commercial — no attribution required. Use it in videos, games, podcasts, streams, releases, ads, or client work. See the Terms of Use.

Can I release my tracks on Spotify, Apple Music, or other streaming services?

Yes. You own the copyright in what you make with Loafe — Loafe is a tool, just like a synthesizer or a DAW, and the music you create with it is yours. You can distribute it through any service (DistroKid, TuneCore, CD Baby, etc.) and collect royalties like any other artist.

A few things worth knowing:

Can I use my tracks in a game or app?

Yes — if you own the music, you don't need a sync licence. A sync licence is for using someone else's copyrighted music; since you own your Loafe tracks, you can embed them in a game, app, or film without any additional clearance. Steam, Apple, and Google don't independently require music licences for submitted apps — they rely on your attestation that you own what you're using. Crediting "Music created with Loafe — 100% synthesized" is optional but a nice touch.

Does it work offline?

Yes — Loafe generates everything on your device, so no internet connection is needed to play or create.

How do I restore a purchase?

Open Loafe → tap the gear (Settings) → Restore purchases. Make sure you're signed in with the Apple ID you bought with.

How do I manage or cancel Loafe+?

Subscriptions are managed by Apple: on your device, open Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions, or tap "Manage subscription" in Loafe's Settings. You can cancel anytime; access continues until the end of the paid period.

I lost my saved tracks

Saved tracks live on your device. If you delete the app or switch devices without an iCloud backup, they don't carry over. You can also share a track's code to keep a copy.
