Support

Happy to help.

Email venetsia.t.krasteva@gmail.com and I'll get back to you, usually within a few days. Telling me your device and OS version (macOS / iPadOS / iOS) helps.

Save early, save often — and keep a backup. Your work is only as safe as your last save. Save with ⌘S (Mac) or File → Save, and keep important pieces in iCloud Drive or export a copy. Blit also keeps local version history for every saved file, so you can roll back to an earlier state.

Where are my files saved?

Blit saves your work as .blit documents, wherever you choose to put them.

You can also Export a flat copy anytime — PNG, animated GIF, spritesheet, Aseprite, or Godot — via File → Export. It's a good way to keep something you can open anywhere.

I can't find a drawing / I lost my work

Blit files live wherever you saved them — there's no account and no server, so nothing is stored online and I never receive a copy. To track a file down:

Do I have to buy it again on my other devices?

No. Every plan is a Universal Purchase — it's yours on Mac, iPad, and iPhone. Just download Blit from the App Store signed in with the same Apple ID and it'll show as purchased, with no second charge. If it doesn't appear, tap Restore Purchases on the plan screen in the app.

What do the plans include?

Free is free forever: pencil, eraser, fill, shapes, colour picker, selection, and PNG export. Standard ($4.99/month) adds layers and blend modes, frame animation and onion skin, tilesets and tilemap export, outline and drop shadow, and GIF and spritesheet export. Pro ($9.99/month) adds skeletal rigging and IK, background removal, segmenting and pixelising, terrain generators, and Godot and Aseprite export. Lifetime ($49.99) is a one-time purchase that unlocks the Pro feature set permanently. Pricing is introductory and may go up as Blit grows — a Lifetime purchase is never affected by a later rise.

How do I cancel a subscription?

Subscriptions are managed by Apple, not by me. On iPhone or iPad: Settings → tap your name → Subscriptions → Blit → Cancel. On Mac: App Store → click your name → Account Settings → Manage next to Subscriptions. Cancel at least 24 hours before the period ends to avoid the next charge; you keep access until the period you've paid for runs out. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.

How does the free trial work?

Pro may be offered with a 14-day free trial, available once per Apple ID. If you've used it before, the app shows the normal price instead. Unless you cancel at least 24 hours before it ends, the trial turns into a paid monthly Pro subscription.

Can I get a refund?

Refunds are handled by Apple, not by me — I have no way to issue one. Visit reportaproblem.apple.com, sign in, and choose the purchase. If something in Blit went wrong, do email me as well and I'll try to fix it.

Can I use my art commercially?

Yes. You own everything you make in Blit — the app is a tool, like any editor, and your art is yours. Use it in games, apps, videos, streams, ads, or client work, royalty-free and with no attribution required. See the Terms of Use.

How do I export to my game engine?

File → Export offers PNG, animated GIF, spritesheet + JSON, Aseprite (.aseprite), and Godot. For tile layers, Export Tilemap writes a packed tileset PNG + a CSV of tile indices + a JSON manifest that Godot, Unity, and Tiled import with no plugin.

Does it work offline?

Yes — Blit runs entirely on your device. No internet connection is needed to draw, animate, or export.

Which devices are supported?

Mac (macOS 14 Sonoma or later) and iPad & iPhone (iPadOS / iOS 17 or later).
