Privacy Policy

Moshed (“the app”) is a personal concert diary. Your data stays on your device.

Data We Collect

We collect nothing from your device and operate no servers. All data you enter — shows, photos, notes, ratings — is stored locally on your device using Apple’s SwiftData framework and backed up only to your personal iCloud (if you have iCloud backup enabled).

Third-Party Services

Public Lookup APIs

Moshed makes outbound requests to these services to look up artist information. Only artist names are sent — no personal data.

Spotify

Moshed uses the Spotify Web API to fetch artist images and top tracks using app-level credentials only. No Spotify login is required and no personal Spotify account data is accessed. See Spotify’s Privacy Policy.

Device Permissions

Permission	Why
Photos	To attach photos to concert entries. Access is only used when you choose to add a photo.
Notifications	To send anniversary reminders (e.g. “You saw Radiohead 3 years ago today”). All notifications are scheduled locally on your device — nothing is sent to external servers.
Calendar	To read event titles and dates to help find past concerts. This data never leaves your device.
Contacts	Optional, used only to tag people you attend shows with.

Subscriptions (Moshed+)

In-app purchases are processed entirely by Apple. Moshed never sees your payment details. See Apple’s privacy policy.

Because this app is operated from the UK, the following rights apply to you:

Right of access — you can request a copy of any personal data we hold about you
Right to rectification — you can ask us to correct inaccurate data
Right to erasure — you can ask us to delete your data
Right to restriction — you can ask us to limit how we use your data
Right to data portability — you can ask for your data in a machine-readable format
Right to object — you can object to processing based on legitimate interests

Since Moshed stores data only on your device, exercising most of these rights means simply deleting the app. For anything handled by third-party services (Spotify, Apple), please refer to their respective policies. To exercise any right or ask a question, email hammynest@gmail.com.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.

Lawful basis for processing: We process the limited data described above on the basis of legitimate interests (providing app functionality) and consent (permissions you explicitly grant, such as Photos and Notifications).

Retention: All data is retained on your device until you delete the app or clear app data. We do not retain any data on external servers.

Data Deletion

To delete all your data, delete the app. Nothing is stored outside your device or iCloud account.
